Our mission

StoneMind exists to make traditional stone carving, masonry and conservation skills accessible to people who may not otherwise have the opportunity to learn them.

We combine professional craft expertise with qualified teaching and experienced SEN and SEMH support, creating practical programmes that build skills, confidence and a genuine sense of achievement.

We work with funders, charities, community organisations, referral partners, schools and other organisations to create meaningful opportunities through heritage craft, from first experiences of carving through to more advanced skills and live restoration work.

StoneMind Education CIC is the 2026/27 South England Prestige Awards winner for Stone Carving Specialists of the Year.

Testimonials

Tom did a fantastic job with my students who struggle with attention and confidence. They all created exceptional work, becoming fully engaged, using real tools responsibly, and were so proud of what they achieved.

Teacher, West Sussex SEMH School

StoneMind gave our team exactly what we needed: a calm, focused and genuinely memorable experience away from screens. Tom’s expert guidance made stone carving accessible to everyone, and the whole group left feeling more connected, creative and proud of what they had made.
