Our studio

StoneMind Studio was founded to deliver structured, material-led stone carving sessions for schools, organisations, community partners and private groups.

The studio works at the intersection of traditional craft, focused attention and purposeful making, creating calm, hands-on experiences through real tools and natural materials.

StoneMind Studio Ltd supports our private, professional, corporate and organisational work. StoneMind Education CIC has been created to deliver our funded education, SEND/SEMH, alternative provision and community programmes.

This structure allows us to offer high-quality stone carving experiences across a range of settings, while keeping our funded work clearly rooted in community benefit, accountability and access.

Sessions are designed to offer a calm, physical alternative to screen-led work, conventional away days and classroom-based learning, supporting sustained engagement through skilled making and tangible outcomes.

Educational
Ethos

Stone carving requires patience, attention, and controlled force. In a culture of speed and distraction, the material sets its own pace.

StoneMind Studio’s approach is structured, scaffolded, and calm. Participants complete  physical work in a supervised environment, developing resilience and confidence through tangible achievement.

StoneMind Studio operates with full public liability insurance and comprehensive risk assessments. Sessions are delivered in accordance with safeguarding expectations and school compliance requirements.
